Hanger Farm Arts Centre is an 18th Century converted barn that was restored by the Heritage Trust and Totton and Eling Town Council in 2004, making it a perfect venue for your special day.
Your wedding is a very special day for everyone and planning your wedding is an exciting time for both of you. From the moment you make your first enquiry to the time you leave us, we will provide a professional service, meeting your every requirement, with calm, friendly and experienced efficiency.
Hanger Farm Arts Centre is a popular wedding reception venue, with its exposed wooden beams throughout and large windows in the gallery and foyer, it makes a stunning and unique location for your wedding reception. Our main function room has wooden floors and more exposed beams giving the room a warm and elegant feel.
Within Hanger Farm, we have a theatre space which acts as the main function room. It can hold a capacity of up to 140 guests for a sit down meal, which afterwards can be transformed for an evening of dance and music of your choosing. The Gallery space is ideal for serving a hot or cold buffet and we also have the beautifully imposing main foyer space with our fully licensed bar.
The benefit of having your reception at Hanger Farm is we allocate you the whole building solely for your event, enabling you to enjoy your special day with all your friends and family at your leisure. In addition, we enable you to choose your own caterers, for a sit down meal, a hot or cold buffet or an informal approach, such as a Hog Roast which has proved to be very popular.
Hanger Farm Arts Centre is close to the M3 and M27 making us a very accessible location, close to the heart of the New Forest. We provide free parking with disabled parking at the front of the building. Access to all areas is at ground level, making it an ideal location for all of your wedding party and accommodating every need.
Initially we suggest that you book an appointment with one of our Centre staff who will show you around the venue, check availability for your chosen date and discuss any requirements you have for your wedding reception.
Wedding hire charges and what’s included in our prices
Setting up the day before
You will have access to the entire Centre the Day before between 12pm-5pm to deliver items for the day and to set up the function room. Please note this is option is not available on Saturday nights.
Hire includes all chairs, tables, table linen, table runners and napkins. Bunting and fairy lights will be hung in the main function room.
Technical staff will be on duty to help set the scene for your day and assist with any additional decorations.
On your BIG day
Access from 10am for caterers and florists to set up.
Drinks Package: Arrival drinks (sparkling wine, Bucks Fizz, orange and apple juice). Two glasses of wine with the meal (red, white and/or rosé as preferred). Jugs of iced water on the tables and sparkling wine to toast.
Hanger Farm staff to serve reception drinks, wine with the meal and for the toast. Bar staff will be on duty for the duration of your wedding reception to serve additional beverages at our licensed bar.
Technical staff will be on site to assist the band/disco to set up and help sound check.
Staff will clear glasses and clean the venue – you can just leave at the end of the night; carriages 11.30pm, centre closes at midnight.
The day after
A member of staff will be available from 10am-12pm for you to collect any items left behind the night before.

A non-refundable deposit of 10% is payable at the time of booking. Balance is due 2 weeks before the event in cash or by card.
