A Wonderful Night at Our Charity Gala

Over £500 raised for the Hanger Farm Restoration Fund

Rainy weather didn’t hold anyone back as more than sixty guests gathered for our annual Charity Gala, filling the barn with warmth, conversation and plenty of excitement. From the moment visitors stepped inside they were welcomed by our magical host Richard Alan, who greeted everyone with charm and a warm smile!

The whole evening was powered by brilliant volunteers. They kept the bar running smoothly, chatted with guests and helped sell raffle tickets. They were joined by Rory, who we support at Minstead Trust, apprentice Ella, and familiar face Jacques. Their support helped build the friendly, buzzing atmosphere that makes nights like this feel so special.

Guests arrived to a refreshing welcome drink poured by Kyle, our centre manager. The drinks table was packed with choice and the Sarti Rosa Spritz proved a particular favourite, alongside prosecco and our fizzy elderflower.
Local singer songwriter Daniel Eagle set the scene with his warm music that lifted everyone after braving the rain outside.

As guests settled into their seats, Richard treated the room to some close-up magic and quick wit. He kept the crowd laughing and brought a lovely sense of fun to the start of the show.

Anna Renae opened the line up with a beautiful set. Her rich honeyed vocals filled the barn and wrapped the room in gorgeous sound.
Harris and Son followed with incredible guitar work, sharp humour and a playlist full of classics. Their easy charm and brilliant musicianship made them a real highlight for many.

A short break gave guests time to top up their drinks and grab some nibbles from Minstead Lodge kitchen, including quiches, sausage rolls and handmade cakes.
Daniel returned with more fantastic tunes and his music drifted through the space as everyone relaxed.

Meander+ brought spirit and spark to the second half. Their mix of originals and familiar favourites made them an instant crowd pleaser and it was lovely to welcome them back to the gala. Liam White closed the evening with a dramatic entrance and a stunning performance. Sleek vocals, effortless stage presence and a very proud nan dancing in the front row made for a joyful finale.

After the final applause, guests collected their raffle prizes. All thirty three of them! We’re so grateful to everyone who donated such generous gifts and hope winners went home smiling.

Most of all, we want to say thank you. To every performer, volunteer, supporter and friend who made the night feel filled with community spirit. Throughout the evening people shared lovely stories about what Hanger Farm means to them, and we’re proud to be a space where everyone feels welcome.

Anna Renae said: “Everyone should support Hanger Farm as much as they can. The audiences here are always so lovely, welcoming, attentive and appreciative of original music. It’s always a pleasure to play here. It’s one of those places where you know it’s going to sound amazing.”

Local supporters Gary and Karen added:
Gary: “We live round the corner and love coming here. We come several times a year for music and events.”
Karen: “The staff are lovely. We know Jacques from when he was at school and we can see how much his confidence has grown since working here.”
Gary: “We came along tonight to support the cause and enjoy the live music. We just love live music. It’s fantastic.”

Together we raised over £500 for our restoration fund. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for a night of laughter, music and community.

We can’t wait to welcome you back soon.
