The big hanger
bike ride
4 – 28 August
We’re cycling for the next 23,650 visitors.
The last 12 months have been Hanger Farm’s busiest yet, with over 23,650 tickets sold. That’s incredible.
To celebrate, this August the Hanger Farm team are taking to the saddle to ride 236km on a static bike – that’s 10 metres for every ticket sold in the last 12 months!
We’re asking the community to help us raise £2,365 to support much-needed restoration work, keeping Hanger Farm a welcoming space for every single visitor who walks through the door. To keep it a space that is inviting, atmospheric and one that the audiences, performers, and people with learning disabilities all can enjoy.
Why support our fundraiser?
Last year, 23,650 tickets sold brought people through the doors of Hanger Farm, for comedy nights, live music, school shows, workshops, and more.
This August, we’re cycling 10 metres for every one of them – that’s 236km on a static bike – to raise £2,365 for the future of the building and the people who use it.
But this isn’t just about Hanger Farm.
It’s about Totton’s community, and the role this space plays in it.
From local theatre students and artists to adults with learning disabilities and parents looking for connection – we’re proud to be a space that brings people together.
And now, your local community venue needs your help.
Whether you donate £2 or £20, you’ll be helping us:
- Keep the building welcoming and accessible
- Make improvements that matter to everyday visitors
- Keep the arts alive for everyone who walks through the door next
We’ll be pedalling.
You’ll be powering us.
Let’s go the distance – together.

Local venues like Hanger Farm do more than put on shows – we’re a space for people with learning disabilities, a hub for the community, and a place where people connect. This challenge is a fun way to celebrate our busiest year yet, and a great chance for people to get involved and show their support.
