Community
Welcome to Our Community at Hanger Farm
Hanger Farm is more than just a venue; it’s a cornerstone of our local community, rich in history and filled with a spirit of togetherness.
Located just off the M27, Hanger Farm has been a gathering place for creativity, celebration, and connection for many years. We are proud to be a part of this vibrant community and to work alongside Minstead Trust, a charity dedicated to empowering individuals with learning disabilities.

Our Community Groups
We are proud to be a place that is welcome to all.
Our community groups are an important part of Hanger Farm. Our regular U3A Totton South meetings are co-ordinated by Sheila Webb. Interest groups include Book Clubs, Genealogy, Quiz and Coffee Mornings and more!
Sheila says:
For me personally and I know our u3a members agree, we find Hanger Farm a very friendly place to spend time, be it going along to one of our u3a groups based there, including our twice monthly coffee/quiz mornings or to the theatre and film programme.
We enjoy the lovely coffee & hot chocolate ably served by Jacque & Ella and also your lovely team of volunteers.
‘Hanger Farm is a great place to meet up for all sorts of reasons. It is a super building, with an interesting history attached to it. The facilities are great. I often attend meeting for the Totton South University of the Third Age (TS3UA). However, probably the best feature is the warm welcome and superb hospitality you get from the staff and volunteers at Minstead Trust who run the place.’
County Councillor David Harrison
‘I run the garden group of Totton South u3a. Although our use of Hanger Farm is occasional, the welcome we receive from the staff could not be more friendly. We have used it in the past for both discussions and demonstrations and hope to be able to continue to do so in the future.
Thank you, Kyle, and all your staff.’

‘My husband Dave and I are very grateful for all the services Hanger Farm provide. Dave is the Walking Group Coordinator for Totton South u3a, he has been able to hold meetings for his group here giving him the opportunity to discuss proposed events, walks and holidays with fellow members.
We have also enjoyed many shows here and have introduced friends who weren’t aware of Hanger Farm, they too have been impressed with the entertainment and service provided.
Kyle and his team do a marvellous job, always friendly and willing to assist.
It is also very good to see how those with learning disabilities are given the chance to improve their confidence. Jacques and his friends do a good job when taking orders for teas, coffees etc.
Well done Hanger Farm.’

‘We are a group from Totton South u3a (TSu3a) who meet once a month to discuss and investigate our Genealogy and Family History.
The venue is ideal for us as it provides a welcome environment. Also the availability of drinks to buy allows us to relax and enjoy our meetings. The staff are always friendly, inviting and cater for our needs.
I would like to thank Kyle, Matt and Jacques and all the staff for the excellent work they do.’
Trevor Beaumont
Genealogy Group Coordinator
‘It is a lovely place with lots of good shows etc and very friendly people when we have our coffee/quiz mornings. You all do a very good job.’

‘I love Hanger Farm. It’s a beautiful place to attend for U3A meetings, cinema or a show. Staff are lovely in the café and Information Desk is very helpful.
Hanger Farm has gone from strength to strength since Minstead Trust took it over. Please keep up the excellent work.’

‘I run several games groups for Totton South u3a at Hanger Farm and it is always a good experience. We are always welcomed and a suitable space is found for us. It is friendly and staff are always helpful. During the winter months it is a warm space, so it is a very good place to meet socially.’
