El Pony Pisador

El Pony Pisador is a lively and unique band from Barcelona, celebrated for their eclectic mix of global folk styles and playful, adventurous spirit. Their music blends Catalan songs and dances with Celtic and Mediterranean tunes, yodelling, Tuvan throat singing, Georgian polyphony, and Balkan polyrhythms, creating a fun, high-energy, and unpredictable sound.

Known for engaging live shows, the band turns every concert into a festive, inclusive celebration, shaped by their experience at Catalan festes majors, where audience participation is key. El Pony Pisador has released four albums, most recently Ocells (2024), featuring 11 songs blending traditional Catalan music with modern sounds, and collaborations with Jonatan Penalba, Tarta Relena, and The Longest Johns. Their catalogue has amassed over six million streams, and their fanbase continues to grow.

The band has performed across Europe, Canada, the USA, and Australia, with notable appearances at Eurofolk (Germany), Appingedam Folk (Netherlands), North Sea Folk & Shanties Festival (Belgium), Severn Seas Festival (UK), La Fête des Chants Marins (Canada), Bay City Maritime Festival (USA), and sold-out shows at the Albany International Folk and Shanty Festival in Australia.
