My Darling Clementine in Concert

"Johnny Cash & June Carter, George Jones & Tammy Wynette,

Gram Parsons & Emmylou Harris, Lee Hazelwood & Nancy Sinatra.

Now add to that list Michael Weston King & Lou Dalgleish, AKA, My Darling Clementine who have earned their place in the role call of great country duettists” – UNCUT

Michael Weston King & Lou Dalgleish are outstanding songwriters and singers individually, who between them have worked with such diverse artists as Nick Cave, Bryan Ferry, The Brodsky Quartet, Steve Earle, Nils Lofgren, Ron Sexsmith, & Graham Parker, but together they create harmonious magic and are a formidable musical force

Since coming together in 2011 they have released 6 albums, and won numerous awards in the UK, Scandinavia and N. America. Their songs have been covered by over 50 different artists and featured in various films and TV shows. Lou’s song 'No Matter What Tammy Said' was placed in the top 25 country songs of the 21st Century by Country Music People magazine, while Michael’s song 'Riding The Range' was recorded by the late, great Townes Van Zandt

The current My Darling Clementine live show is a trip through their extensive back-catalogue, including songs from their 2021 album Country Darkness, a collection of Elvis Costello songs re-interpreted for duet, made in collaboration with the brilliant pianist, and long-time Costello side-man, Steve Nieve

They will also be performing songs from their new solo albums, Michael's “Nothing Can Hurt Me Anymore” (released April ’26) and Lou’s “The Leaving And The Left Behind” (out Oct ’26) both written in the aftermath of a family tragedy:

MWK creates rare beauty from unthinkable horror. Both requiem and reckoning, the songs an attempt to understand the unimaginable

There is grace as well as grief. UNCUT *********9/10
