New Forest Open Air Theatre are back at Furzey Gardens with their big summer comedy. Expect the usual blend of laughter, music and magic as the sun goes down. 

She Stoops to Conquer is Oliver Goldsmith's bighearted classic comedy. Think Shakespeare meets farce! Two eligible young Batchelors from London arrive in the countryside, and come up against the escapades of practical joker Tony Lumpkin and daredevil Kate Hardcastle. Chaos and high comedy ensue during one summer night in the countryside. 

With live jigs and reels, and country dancing, join us for this summer celebration of life and love. 

Brought to you by the same team as The Rivals, Hay Fever, Twelfth Night, The Comedy of Errors and The Importance of Being Earnest. 

Notes on Performance
 – Gates open at 6pm, so bring a picnic and come and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. 
– Seating isn’t provided by the venue so please make sure to bring your own – chairs**, picnics, blankets and any other low-backed accessories are welcome. 
– In case of rain, please don't bring umbrellas as they block sight-lines for other audience members. Ponchos and raincoats are just as fetching, so please wear these instead.
 – This is an outdoors performance and surfaces may be uneven  
– if you have any access related questions ahead of the performance please get in touch! 
** Chairs with too high a back may be asked to move towards the rear of the seating as they can restrict viewing for others.
