Up Close & Personal with former ELO2 frontman Phil Bates

Phil Bates was in ELO 2 for a decade in the early nineties and played such prestigious venues as The Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Sydney Opera House.

Since his departure from ELO 2 he has released five critically acclaimed solo albums.

His solo set consists of some of his own original material and he also plays some classic blues covers , quite a few Beatles songs but of course this show would not be complete with lots of those fantastic Jeff Lynne songs that made ELO one of the biggest and most successful bands in the world.
